About Topo

Jessie Stanier started Topo Consulting in 2021 during her PhD studies at the University of Exeter.

Her freelance academic consultancy supports academics, businesses, teachers, and community groups to bring their bright ideas to fruition. Topo Typos is a proofreading and copyediting service, Topo Transforms offers tailored research and consulting, and Topo Talks showcases Jessie's bespoke workshops and keynotes.

At heart, Jessie is interested in understanding how relationships become meaningful and creating conditions for wellbeing. This thread runs through her academic work and professional practice.

Jessie's academic expertise is in philosophy of ageing (critical phenomenology), engaged qualitative research, and interdisciplinary health humanities. She also has more commercial experience working in marketing, journalism, copywriting, event organisation, and consulting.
